Chaka Pilgrim

Chaka Pilgrim is a veteran music business executive with over 20 years of experience spanning music, touring, film, and management. Ms. Pilgrim is the former president and artist manager of Roc Nation Records and currently serves as the head of film and television for Shawn Carter Enterprises. She also oversees some of Jay’s music videos, recently working as an executive producer of 4:44 visuals “BAM,” “4:44,” and “Moonlight.” Ms. Pilgrim has held lengthy tenures at labels such as Roc-A-Fella Records and Island Def Jam, working with iconic acts including JAY Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West. In addition, Ms. Pilgrim served as an in-demand independent marketing consultant with her company, Chakaworks. She has also been involved with a number of philanthropic causes. She is a Board Member of the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and served as a Founding Board Member of both the Summit Academy Charter School and the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art.
