Simma Bakare is an inclusive educator, counselor, specializing in creative, equitable approaches to learning and mental health. Her work integrates culturally sensitive, arts based, trauma informed pedagogy. Simma holds a M.Ed., with an Indigenous specialization, is a certified humanities & psychology teacher, Orton Gillingham practitioner, and designated counselor, who cultivates a love of learning, thinking and expressing in youth. She is equipped to support the mental health (anxiety, self esteem and depression) aspects that are often co-morbid with emotional development, transitional years and learning differences.
